Trading on the floor of Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) Monday closed lower from the previous trading session as the All Share Index (ASI) declined 0.13 percent to stand at 32,413.48 points against 32,456.98 points of the last trading session.
The bearish hold also led market capitalisation to dip by 0.14 percent, settling at N11.833 trillion against N11.849 trillion recorded on Friday.
At the close of trading for the day, both volume and value of traded stocks dipped by 43.72 percent and 57.08 percent, arriving at about 91 million units and N960 million respectively.
However, a total of 16 stocks closed positive as against 17 that closed negative, bringing the market breadth to a negative round off. Mansard Insurance topped percentage gainers closing 10.00 percent above the previous close of N1.80 to settle at N1.98 per share.
Forte Oil grew 9.88 percent, NASCON and NPF Micro-Finance gained 7.57 percent and 5.81 percent of their share prices ahead of other stocks on the gainers’ chart.
On the other hand, Fidson Healthcare topped the losers’ chart losing 10.00 percent of its share price, while WAPIC and UAC Property shed 9.09 percent and 8.00 percent respectively.
UBA traded about 14 million units of its shares in 80 deals, valued at about N118 Million. Guaranty traded about 6 million units of its shares in 117 deals, worth about N216 million
