The Nigerian bourse on Wednesday dropped from the previous trading session as the All Share Index (ASI) declines 0.46 percent to close at 32,963.27 points below 33,114.44 points of the last trading session.

Similarly, the market capitalization fell by 0.45 percent to stand at N12.034 trillion against N12.089 trillion recorded on Tuesday, shedding a total loss of N55 billion.

Volume and value of traded stocks dipped by 22.77 percent and 37.50 percent to arrive at 172 million units and N2 billion respectively.

At the close of trading for the day, 17 stocks closed positive against 23 that closed negative, bringing the market breadth to a negative round off.

Trading figures sourced from the NSE showed that UAC-Property led other percentage gainers closing 10.00 percent above the previous close of N1.70 to settle at N1.87 per share.

Niger Insurance grew 8.82 percent, University Press Plc and Veritas Kapital gained 7.33 percent and 7.14 percent of their share prices ahead of other stocks on the gainers’ chart.

Berger Paint tops the losers’ chart losing 10.00 percent of its share price, while Prestige Assurance and Royal Exchange shed 9.80 percent and 9.09 percent respectively.

Guaranty traded about 27 million units of its shares in 189 deals, worth about N1 billion.

Fidelity Bank traded about 33 million units of its shares in 277 deals, valued at about N57 million.
